It decided to snow here in Utah again. I thought we were done with it and warming up, but boy was I wrong! At least I get to use my Sorels a few more times before Spring. These boots have been one of my favorite things I got for Christmas!
I mentioned on our instagram last week a few products that I have been loving lately so I thought I would talk about them today.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation: Hands down my favorite foundation of all time. I have tried so many foundations and when I started to see this one pop up on other blogger's sites I decided to give it a try. I will be honest with you and say that I have really good skin. I don't have that much to cover up but I do have a lot of discoloration. That being said, this foundation would work for you if you did have tons of problems with your skin. It provides great coverage without feeling heavy and it stays on sooooo long! I never have to worry about it not lasting the whole day. It's so so good!
Better than Sex Mascara: I have always been a fan of Diorshow mascara but decided to take the plunge and try this kind after getting several recommendations for it. I am seriously loving it! It makes my eyelashes look so long (which is hard to do because they aren't very long). I still use a mascara base which does make a difference, but I definitely think that this product lives up to the hype.
Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo: I actually discovered this product when I received it from a friend at a Christmas gift exchange. I have never really found a dry shampoo that did what I wanted before. I have really thick hair that can go a long time without washing...as long as I have a good dry shampoo. This fits the bill. It's a little pricey but seems to last a long time and is worth it as it works perfectly.
So as I'm sure you can tell by our blog and instagram...I buy a lot of makeup. It's definitely my guilty pleasure and the biggest strain on my budget because I like nice makeup...alot. We recently discovered Groupon Coupons however, and this has helped so much in making all of our favorite things more affordable. Groupon Coupons has everything from restaurant discounts and clothing discounts and its a totally free service. All the coupons are verified, which means you don't have to worry about them not working when you type the code in...which happens to me so much when I use other coupon sites. You can also narrow your search within the site to stores around where you live and specific stores you like to shop at. A few of our favorite stores that participate in Groupon Coupons are:
As an example, today on Groupon Coupons there are 75 coupons for Nordstrom and 88 for Sephora. That makes me so happy as most of my disposable income goes to those stores. I love a good deal and I love sharing a good deal with all of you. I hope this helps you with all your shopping needs too!
Have you tried Groupon Coupons? Did you like it? Let us know!
This Pantry organization post/You-tube video is so long overdue! I have been wanting to do this since I moved into my home 3 years ago. I finally got around to it and am so extremely happy that I did! My pantry looks 10000 times better and now I can actually keep track of what I need at the store and we can use up the things we need to based on expiration date. I highly suggest getting a system of organization for your pantry, it makes life so much easier.
Follow me around in this You-tube video and see exactly what I did to organize my pantry.
This outfit has been a mommy-form staple for me! The booties have been a favorite for me ever since I purchased them at the Nordstrom sale. They are soo worth every penny and go with just about any outfit in my closet. This shirt was a Black Friday purchase from Gap and I have loved it. It is so comfortable and soft and the blush color is super in right now.
My Fawn Design bag was definitely a splurge item but I am so happy that I decided to purchase it. The material is so easy to clean and it is roomy enough to hold everything I need to take with me on the go, plus some! The straps are made out of super durable "seat belt like" material so you don't have to worry about them starting to tear if your bag is weighted down with heavy items. Jess and I both have this bag and I cant wait to get her opinion on it when she starts using it here in the next couple weeks!
Thank you so much for stopping by our blog and reading!
I threw a shower for Jess a few weeks ago. I went with a pink, gold, and cream theme because 1) those are the colors Jess used in her nursery, and 2) if you know Jess at all you know she is crazy about those colors. We had a giant snowstorm the morning of the shower that made the morning interesting, but everything ended up turning out great! This shower was seriously so fun to plan! I am beyond excited for baby H to get here.
I am not able to find links to all of the cute decorations I found for this shower but I can tell you all where I found it!
P.S. One of the gifts that Jess received was a tummy time blanket made by the Etsy shop KathyQuiltsShop (you can see the quilt in the pictures above). Jess was able to customize the fabrics and colors to get exactly what she wanted, and the quilt is by far one of her favorite gifts that she received. We highly recommend this shop for your future baby gift needs. (This is not a sponsored statement, we just love the quilt that much).
Hey Everyone! We are so excited to be teaming up with Uncommongoods.com to bring you a Valentine's Day Gift Guide guaranteed to help you out with coming up with an original gift for that special someone in your life. We recently discovered this site and we are in love! Uncommongoods.com is an online marketplace that connects artists and makers of sustainable, handmade products from around the world with buyers who are looking for uncommon, original items. One thing that really struck me about this company, besides the ridiculously cute things on their website, was their mission statement. As part of their mission, Uncommongoods is a founding member of what's called "B Corporation", an organization created to help customers understand the social and environmental impact of their purchases. Having a "B seal" on a product means that a company has met the standards outlined in a comprehensive screening questionnaire, which evaluates a company on issues ranging from providing a living wage, to lessening their impact on the environment, to giving back to the community. Pretty cool right?
On a lighter note, something else we really liked about their company is their curated lists designed to help out with special occasions. Besides their Valentine's Day gift guide, they also have lists dedicated to helping you out with weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays. We often find ourselves struggling to find a gift that is both personalized and original, and are so excited to have discovered a site to providing just that! Hopefully our list will give you some good ideas about what to buy for Valentine's Day. Enjoy!
Hey Everyone! I'm so excited to be showing my baby girl's nursery on the blog today. You can find what inspired me while I designed my nursery here. As I'm sure you have noticed from my other home reveal posts here and here, I have a serious thing for white, cream, and gold. Once I found out that I was having a girl, adding in pink seemed like a no-brainer. Her nursery is now my favorite room in my house! I have listed where I got everything below. Enjoy!
