Our "Getaway" to the Eastern Caribbean

Hi Everyone!

Danica and I just got back from our vacation to the Eastern Caribbean. We took a cruise with our family on the Norwegian Getaway to celebrate my inlaw's 30th anniversary. This week we plan on showing you all of our adventures!

Today we are showing you around our home for the week, Norwegian's Getaway. This is its first year in operation, and it was this year's party ship for the Super Bowl. It was awesome being on a brand new ship. Everything was so modern and gorgeous!
The Miami Skyline as we pulled away from the port.

The outdoor 'adults only' area. We watched Gravity one night, and it was such a unique experience watching it under the stars out on the ocean!
 The Arcade
The free fall slides. These were so intense. They lock you in a box, countdown to three, and then the floor drops from under you. Such a rush!
 Our balcony room
 The pirate themed golf course
The kid's pool. Sponge Bob Squarepants themed.
The Tropicana Restaurant. The Getaway offers 28 different dining experiences, more than any other ship out there.
These touch screens were all over the ship. They were so useful for showing you what was going on, and how to get everywhere. You could even schedule your shows and shore excursions on them.
 Another restaurant.
 One of the specialty restaurants.
The desserts we ordered one night...we decided to try everything.
Ice cream all day...everyday...
They had a "Cake Boss" bakery shop on the ship.
The Getaway Theatre where we saw Legally Blonde the musical.
 Rock Wall
The Ropes Course and zipline. It featured an area where you could "walk the plank" off the side of the ship. It was so scary to walk out there on days at sea with nothing under you but the ocean!

As you can see, the Getaway was an amazing ship. Tomorrow we will be sharing an outfit from the cruise as well as our adventures in St. Maarten. Stay tuned!

  1. I've never been on a cruise, and now I'm INSANELY JEALOUS. I need a vacation desperatelyyyyyy.

    1. You should go on a cruise for the trip you talked about on your blog! You and Taylor would love it!
